Job Description
The Assistant Teacher at HighRidge Kids School ensures that the lead teacher's goals and curriculum are fulfilled, makes parents and children feel welcome, and that HighRidge Kids School is safe.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Abide by all HRKS policies and procedures
  • Help the Lead teacher set up the classroom and prepare for the day
  • Collect and help set up projects/activities for the day
  • Welcome children and assist them with morning work while the lead teacher greets them at the door
  • Assist the Lead Teacher with redirecting children
  • Assist in lesson planning
  • Make copies for projects/activities 
  • Supervise while children use the restroom
  • Assist with clean up
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
  • Leadership skills
  • Relational skills
  • Lives a life of Christ-like character and integrity
  • Teachable, flexible, works well with others, detail-oriented, organized
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree preferred
Physical Requirements
This position requires sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting 20 pounds to fulfill job duties and requirements.
